Illegal Mosque Construction on Government College Land Halted in Telangana

Published by admin on

In Nemmikal Village, Atmakur Mandal, Suryapet District, Telangana, a few Muslim families attempted to construct a mosque by occupying land belonging to a Government College in a residential area.

With guidance from the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF), local villagers submitted a complaint to the Gram Panchayat, citing violations of Panchayat Raj Department G.O. Ms. No. 35/2014 and the Supreme Court’s directions prohibiting the construction of religious structures on public land.

Following the complaint, the authorities immediately halted the construction.
